SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department said they responded to two shootings that happened within 30 minutes of each other Tuesday night. Evacuate now! Keller under Level 3 alert as Swawilla Fire grows to 30,000+ acres
KELLER – The Swawilla Fire, burning east of Coulee Dam, has grown to 30,667 acres with no containment reported. Level 3 evacuations, indicating immediate danger, have expanded as the fire continues its northward expansion. The following areas are now under Level 3 evacuation orders: everything from the junction of Joe Moses Road and Buffalo Lake Road to Cache Creek Road; everything south of Cache Creek Road to the junction with State Highway 21 and south to the Columbia River; everything west to Hells Canyon and northwest to just north of Elmer City at Hwy 155; then north of Hwy 155 to the junction with Joe Moses Road. The town of Keller and surrounding communities have also been upgraded to Level 3 evacuation status. Highway 155 remains open as of Thursday afternoon.
