SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department said they responded to two shootings that happened within 30 minutes of each other Tuesday night. According to SPD, officers responded to several reports of gunshots near Lincoln Street and Cleveland Avenue, with callers reporting to police that shots were fired from a black vehicle that fled. KELLER – The Swawilla Fire, burning east of Coulee Dam, has grown to 30,667 acres with no containment reported. Level 3 evacuations, indicating immediate danger, have expanded as the fire continues its northward expansion. The following areas are now under Level 3 evacuation orders: everything from the junction of Joe Moses Road and Buffalo Lake Road to Cache Creek Road; everything south of Cache Creek Road to the junction with State Highway 21 and south to the Columbia River; everything west to Hells Canyon and northwest to just north of Elmer City at Hwy 155; then north of Hwy 155 to the junction with Joe Moses Road. The town of Keller and surrounding communities have also been upgraded to Level 3 evacuation status. Highway 155 remains open as of Thursday afternoon.
