Stiles Farm Field Day set for June 11

The Stiles Farm Foundation Field Day will be held on June 11. Located at 5700 FM 1063 in Thrall, the event will feature outstanding educational information on a variety of topics.

Dr. Jeff Savell, Vice Chancellor and Dean for Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University will be discussing Texas Barbecue techniques that will be helpful for all who enjoy. Other topics will include soil and planter equipment interactions and profitable fertilizer decision making, John Deere See and Spray Technology, as well as a review of current research plots located at Stiles Farm. Two General CEU’s will be offered for pesticide applicators. There will also be a trade show.

The event will also have plenty of fun and information for kids. It will feature an inflatable water slide, free snowcones, a fire safety demo, a talk on ATV and PTO safety as well as a Make & Take project from the Wilco Master Gardeners.
