While people are so ready to blame everyone else, yet another member of the church is being arrested for inappropriate behavior with minors.

On Thursday, May 23, a "now former" Summit Crossing Community Church employee was arrested after being suspected of sending inappropriate communications to a teen. An inquiry into 49-year-old Mark Sellers began last week following claims that he exchanged "inappropriate and explicit messages to a teenager." Summit Crossing Community Church’s Executive Director of Ministries released the following statement regarding Sellers’ arrest:

We are deeply grieved for those who have experienced this sinful behavior by one of our employees, and grateful to the family that initially came forward to report it. - SCCC Executive Director of Ministries

Church officials said Sellers has been sacked and is not permitted to return to church grounds. Sellers remains in Madison County Jail, where he is being held on $15,000 bond. Police say the inquiry is still ongoing. Anyone with any information is encouraged to call Madison police.
