HOA Freaks Out Over Black SUVs at Birthday Party

A "tattle-tell" with nothing better to do is like a loaded trebuchet waiting for a breeze to destabilize the launching mechanism–it's an accident waiting to happen. This neighbor was flabbergasted when he received an embarrassingly paranoid email from his HOA after having a small gathering for his birthday party. There was no loud music and no excessive disturbance, so what was it that set people off? Three black SUVs.

After living in a quiet neighborhood with a particularly stringent HOA, u/Moetheoneandonly, the original poster (OP) of this story, was no stranger to living according to the neighborhood's rules. They planned a birthday gathering at their house with a few close friends, parking a total of 6 cars near their house and only 2 parked on the street. The night was a simple, fun evening that nobody could contest as riotous, but there was something that still nags at the overly paranoid HOA.
