So, what happened? Why did the son of a rich man from the suburbs of Detroit turn into a truck driving, country boy from the backwoods of Alabama?

Mercedes-Benz Workers in Alabama Reject Unionization, Dealing Blow to UAW Push
Thousands of Mercedes-Benz workers in Alabama voted against joining the United Auto Workers (UAW) on Friday, handing the union a significant defeat one month after it won at a Volkswagen plant in adjacent Tennessee. The National Labor Relations Board reported that workers at two Mercedes-Benz plants near Tuscaloosa, Alabama, voted against joining the union by a majority of 2,642 to 2,045, or 56% to 44%. The result stymies the UAW's momentum as it strives to organize new facilities throughout the South, where it has fought for decades to establish a presence. Analysts predicted a difficult struggle at the Alabama Mercedes-Benz factories because the business ran an anti-union campaign, but Volkswagen executives had been neutral on worker organization activities.

Sometimes Life’s GPS Forces You to Recalculate Your Direction
A little over ten years ago, I dabbled in content creation, making gaming videos and live streaming on Justin.tv (for you youngsters out there, this is the original name of Twitch), and just blogging and journaling on sites like Blogger, Tumblr, Facebook (am I the only one that remembers Facebook “Notes”) LiveJournal, among others. I never really knew what I wanted to do or why I was doing any of these things, it just felt like something to do.

The Memorial to Miss Baker, the first monkey to survive spaceflight
In 1948, America initiated their mission to send primates into outer space, yet it was not until 1959 that they were able to bring back one alive. Prior to this, the US space program had achieved success with the recovery of fruit flies after a sub-orbital space flight. On the other hand, the Russians had already succeeded in the safe return of dogs from space. Conversely, the American animals sent into space without their permission were sadly perishing, often due to an exploding rocket, upon re-entry, or simply missing from their capsules floating in the ocean.
Alabama's Terracotta Army in Troy

The original warriors, known as the Terracotta Army, were buried with the first Chinese emperor, Qin Shi Huang Di, circa-209 B.C. to join him in the afterlife. This archaeological find is referred to as the “eighth Wonder of the World”, as noted by Clif Lusk from Troy’s University Relations Department.
