    Moderate Flooding Expected to Impact Livingston County

    The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Flood Warning for the Huron River near Hamburg in Livingston County. This warning is in effect until further notice as minor flooding is currently occurring, and moderate flooding is forecasted.

    Current Conditions and Forecast

    • Current Stage: As of 2:15 PM EDT on Tuesday, the river stage is at 7.1 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.7 feet early Saturday morning.
    • Flood Stage: Flood stage is at 7.0 feet.
    • Impact:
      • At 7.0 feet, water begins to flood yards of homes along the Huron River and Ore Lake. Some boat docks begin to become submerged.
      • At 7.5 feet, flooding of houses and yards increases considerably.
