Blistering Heat to Hit Monday and Tuesday
Following today's storm chances, the region will experience a surge in heat and humidity. The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures reaching the lower 90s on Monday and possibly climbing to the mid 90s by Tuesday. The combination of heat and humidity is expected to push heat indices into the mid 90s to near 100 degrees, with conditions being the most dangerous by Tuesday afternoon.
Heat-related alerts may be issued to warn residents of the potentially hazardous conditions. Heat headlines could be enacted as early as Monday, with the sweltering heat wave continuing into Tuesday.
Uncertain Mid-Week Storms
Thunderstorms may return as early as Tuesday and Wednesday, although there is currently considerable uncertainty regarding the timing and intensity of these potential storms. However, the threat remains, and residents should stay vigilant throughout the week.
Further chances for thunderstorms are also expected on Friday, adding to the unpredictability of the week’s weather.
