    Scattered Thunderstorms to Move Through Wisconsin Today

    The National Weather Service (NWS) in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a hazardous weather outlook for east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening, moving from the northwest to the southeast. While these storms are not anticipated to be severe, they could still bring brief heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds.

    High Swim Risk for Lake Michigan Beaches

    In addition to the thunderstorms, the NWS warns of a moderate to high swim risk along Lake Michigan beaches from Friday into Saturday. Strong currents and dangerous waves are expected, posing a significant risk to swimmers. Beachgoers are advised to exercise caution and heed any posted warnings.

    Spotter Activation Not Expected

    The current outlook does not call for spotter activation. However, as weather conditions can change rapidly, residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed and take precautions as necessary.
