Former Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal pens children’s book in honor of late wife
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Most people know Nathan Deal as Georgia’s former governor. But he’s now also the author of a brand-new children’s book!. Deal came to Atlanta News First to talk about “Veto, the Governor’s Cat.” He said he wrote the book in honor of his late wife, Sandra Deal, who was a teacher passionate about childhood literacy. Part of the book’s proceeds will go toward The Deal Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to criminal justice reform and bolstering education.
