    Ingredients for Pecan Pralines

    • 2 cups pecan halves
    • 1⁄2 cups granulated sugar
    • 1 1⁄2 cups packed light brown sugar
    • 3⁄4 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

    How to Make this Recipe

    1. Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
    2. In a big saucepan, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cream, butter, and salt. Heat it over medium heat, stirring continuously, until it starts boiling.
    3. Attach a candy thermometer to the pan. Keep cooking and stirring until the temperature reaches 236 degrees Fahrenheit (soft ball stage), which should take around 6-8 minutes.
    4. Take the pan off the heat and quickly add in the vanilla extract and mix until everything is well combined.
    5. Mix in the pecans thoroughly, ensuring they are evenly coated, then use a tablespoon to drop spoonfuls onto the baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
    6. Allow the pralines to cool and set completely at room temperature for 30-60 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
