Only two chocolate chip cookies - slightly crunchy on the edges, and rich and buttery in the middle. They're thick enough to bite into and just so, so delicious.

These cookies are crispy around the edges but super dense and soft, buttery in the center, loaded with gooey melted chocolate. They really satisfy that craving for a warm chocolate chip cookie. The texture and taste are just right! They’re thick, soft, and a bit underbaked, with a nice crispy bottom and edges for that ideal contrast.

If you're searching for small cookies, these are not it. However, you can use this cookie dough recipe to make smaller cookies for a small batch. It would make about a half dozen regular size chocolate chip cookies.

NOTE: If you choose to make smaller cookies, adjust the baking time to 8-10 minutes, so you don't over bake the cookies.

    Two Cookie Ingredients

    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, very soft or partially melted
    • 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon white sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 egg yolk
    • 1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    • pinch of salt
    • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

How to Make two Large Chocolate Chip Cookies

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
    2. In a small bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt, set aside.
    3. In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the butter, sugars, vanilla, and egg yolk until it’s all blended evenly.
    4. Then, add in the flour mixture and mix until you get a soft dough consistency.
    5. Fold in the chocolate chips. Shape the dough into two balls and place them on a baking sheet; you should end up with two hefty cookies. If you’re feeling extra chocolatey, add some more chocolate chips on top.
    6. Bake for 12-14 minutes, adjusting the time based on how gooey you want the insides.
    7. After baking, let the cookies cool for about 10-15 minutes to firm up before moving them to a plate.
    8. Let them cool completely and ENJOY!
