Find Out How Volunteers Can Help Keep Tahoe Clean this Labor Day Weekend!

This Labor Day, help keep Lake Tahoe beautiful by joining the League to Save Lake Tahoe for their 10th annual beach cleanup event. On Monday, September 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., volunteers will gather at Kings Beach State Recreation Area to ensure the area is free from trash and litter.

After busy holiday weekends, beaches often end up littered with trash. The event will focus on removing litter, refreshing the shoreline, and ensuring that nearby parking areas, businesses, and neighborhoods stay clean and welcoming.

    Wander Tahoe tips for volunteers:

    • Wear comfortable shoes: You'll be on your feet and moving around, so make sure your footwear is supportive and suitable for walking on sand.
    • Dress appropriately: Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and bring layers in case of changing weather.
    • Bring water and sunscreen: Stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun.
