South Lake Tahoe's Most Popular Fall Festival Returns to Bijou!

    2024-09-17

One of Wander Tahoe's favorite activities, Sample the Sierra Farm-to-Fork Festival is back! This festival is offering attendees a chance to explore the best local flavors and handmade products from the Sierra Nevada region. This year, the festival will take place at Bijou Community Park in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, September 21, from 1-4 pm.

With a focus on sustainability, the 2024 event encourages attendees to use digital tickets and embrace eco-friendly practices like carpooling, biking, or using Lake Link to reduce their impact on the environment.

At the festival, attendees can taste a variety of gourmet dishes, fine wines, craft beers, and spirits from local vendors. According to their website Sample The Sierra, the lineup includes popular spots like Cafe Fiore, Cold Water Brewing, MacDuff’s Pub, and Tahoe Blue Vodka, among many others. There will also be live music by Robin Orr & Snowbound Music, creating a fun atmosphere for everyone.

Sample the Sierra is more than just a food festival; it’s a chance to explore the unique culture of the region. According to their website, visitors can meet local chefs, winemakers, and artisans, and discover handmade goods in the festival marketplace. From tapas and BBQ to handcrafted spirits, there’s something for everyone.

Tickets are available online, with a Full Sampling Ticket (which includes food, wine, beer, and spirits) priced at $75, and a Food Sampling Only ticket for $45. Children under 10 can attend for free.
