    U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg will deliver the keynote address at the 28th annual Lake Tahoe Summit on August 14. The event, themed “Connecting Tahoe: Investing in Transit, Trails, and Technology for the Future,” will be held at Round Hill Pines Beach Resort and is open to the public.

    The summit will focus on addressing transportation challenges around Lake Tahoe and exploring innovative solutions to protect the lake for future generations. Some of the topics to be discussed include federal, state, and local efforts to enhance transit, trails, and technological advancements in the region.

    The summit will begin at 10 a.m. on August 14.

    Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or the complimentary shuttle service due to limited on-site parking. General registration for the event is available online.

    For security reasons, clear bags smaller than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ and non-clear bags under 5″ x 7″ are permitted.

    Firearms are not allowed, and signs will not be allowed at the event to ensure visibility for all attendees.
