Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts Announce Opening Dates!

Lake Tahoe ski resorts have announced the opening dates for the 2024-2025 ski season, reminding Northern Californians that winter fun is just around the corner.

Vail Resorts, which operates Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood ski resorts, has set the following dates for the season:

• Heavenly Mountain Resort: Opens on November 22, 2024. Heavenly is California’s largest ski resort, offering 4,800 acres of patrolled land, 97 trails, and 28 lifts.
• Northstar California Resort: Also opens on November 22, 2024. Northstar features 3,170 acres, 100 trails, and 20 lifts.
• Kirkwood Mountain Resort: Opens on December 6, 2024. Kirkwood is known for its unique zipline tours that soar 75 feet above the ground and has an elevation gain of 3,500 feet, reaching a summit of 10,067 feet.

Vail Resorts is also offering discounts on their Epic Pass, available until September 2, 2024. The pricing is as follows:

• Epic Pass: $1,004
• Epic Local Pass: $746
• Epic Day Pass: $45 to $95 per day
