Iowa City, Coralville Bruegger’s Bagels locations unionize
Two Bruegger’s Bagels locations in the Corridor have become the first in the nation to unionize, asking for fair pay and better managerial conditions. The bagel franchises at 708 S. Riverside Drive in Iowa City and 404 1st Avenue in Coralville are both part of the new union, known as “Bruegger’s Workers United.”
Clinton man charged after altercation at Coralville laundromat
A Clinton man faces several charges after police were called to trespass him from a Coralville laundromat. At 1:40 Monday morning, the owner of Spin City on First Avenue contacted police to have 51-year-old Robert Truelson removed from the business. Upon arrival, the officer attempted to identify both parties involved, and Truelson allegedly kept giving a false name. Police ran a check on the false name in Illinois and Iowa with no success.
