JUNETEENTH FREEDOM DAY CELEBRATION — The city of Tigard and the Tigard-Tualatin School District are hosting the third annual Juneteenth celebration from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Shelter 2 in Cook Park, 17005 S.W. 92nd Ave. More: tigard-or.gov

CRUISIN’ SHERWOOD — Hot rods and live music are returning to Sherwood’s family-friendly Old Town district for the 2024 iteration of the city’s annual car show, Cruisin’ Sherwood. The event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 15 includes food vendors, a beer garden and awards for the classic cars. Online: sherwoodchamber.org

HILLWALK — Join VFW Post 1324 at 9 a.m. on June 15, for the Oregon City Hillwalk. It’ll start at the VFW with a view of Willamette Falls, make a loop through the mystery tunnel, up the stairs or the elevator (your choice), and along the Promenade back to the cars. From there, participants will hike up an abandoned road to an overlook of the city and down through a hidden trail back to the cars. There is one short section of busy traffic, then mostly quiet roads or wooded trails. Just over 3 miles. Online: vfw1324.org
