Shawano Speedway: Anvelink leads every lap in late models
The IMCA Stock car series headlined the July 20 races at the Shawano Speedway with a 28-car field, along with increased pay for the Late Model division and the Mighty 4s. The program battled a threat from Mother Nature the entire night as storms were in the area. All was OK until the final feature of the night rolled out, and the track couldn’t be saved, ending one feature short on the night.
One dead, nine injured in mass shooting at Milwaukee’s Dineen Park
MILWAUKEE – A 17-year-old girl is dead and nine other teenagers are injured after a shooting early Monday morning in Milwaukee’s Dineen Park. The shooting around 12:30am followed a fight that broke out after what’s being called an “impromptu car party” in the park on the city’s northwest side.

WESTON, WI (WSAU) — Two new water wells are online in Weston, but that won’t be the end of their water infrastructure upgrades. Public Works Director Michael Wodalski says the new wells will allow them to shift attention to cleaning up other issues without interrupting service. “We won’t have to worry about being low on water,” said Wodalski. “We can do well rehabs, clean up secondary contaminants like iron and manganese that cause aesthetic issues in some of our wells.”
