TPG NEXT seeds new RE credit firm
TPG announced a strategic partnership with a new real estate private credit firm via its TPG NEXT platform with a seed to Caro Investors. Founded by Careina Williams, the Chevy Chase, Md.-based firm is launching its inaugural strategy focused on making middle-market private debt investments with underlying commercial real estate exposure in asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, investment-grade retail and other defensive real estate sectors that Caro Investors views as resilient.

One dead after plane crashes into water in Easton, Maryland
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. - One person is dead after a plane crashed into the water near Easton, Maryland Tuesday morning. According to Maryland State Police, a twin-engine Cessna 402 crashed in the area of the 6800 block of Travelers Rest Circle in Easton. The pilot was recovered from the water and was declared dead on the scene.

The Trippe Gallery has a special line-up of events on Friday July 19. The day begins at 10:30 with a painting demo with Plein Air Easton favorite Beth Bathe. Beth is highly influenced by American Regionalist painter Andrew Wyeth. She refers to much of her subject matter as “the vanishing landscape.” She paints with Cobra water soluble oils, in a very limited tonal palette. Her tools include squeegees, toothpicks, paper towels and cotton squabs giving her paintings a washy, vintage feel.

EASTON — Officials with the Maryland State Police confirmed the pilot of a small aircraft that crashed into the Tred Avon River near Easton Tuesday morning was killed in the incident.
