First-Round Bust Could Get Second Chance With Panthers, Ravens
Cornerback Kaiir Elam has not worked out in Buffalo, and the Bills could trade him after two disappointing seasons. A first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Elam was supposed to solidify a talented secondary and help Buffalo slow down the elite passing attacks of the AFC. Instead, the Florida product has failed to make an impact at the professional level. Injuries limited Elam to just three games last year, but his on-field tape leaves plenty to be desired. According to Pro Football Focus, he had a subpar 58.8 grade in 2023 and an equally underwhelming 56.7 grade in 2022.

Ravens encouraged to cut ties with veteran wide receiver
It wouldn't be an overreaction to suggest the Baltimore Ravens could use reinforcements in the wide receiver room. The receiver position is thin outside WR1 Zay Flowers as Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor fail to deliver consistently. In an attempt to bolster the receiver room, the Ravens signed veteran receiver Russell Gage.
One Orioles All-Star Is Battling a Late Season Slump
Adley Rutschman, widely regarded as the face of the Baltimore Orioles franchise, has had an abysmal second half. What can he do to turn it around?. Selected with the first pick in the 2019 MLB draft, Rutschman was a bonified star from day 1. He quickly moved through the minor leagues, and in early 2022 made his MLB debut. Not only was his debut special because he was a former top prospect, but because that day was when the Orioles quit their losing ways. Since Rutschman’s debut on May 21, 2022, the Orioles have a .586 winning percentage, the third-best in the league. Rutschman marked the turning point for the Orioles. He then made his first All-Star game last season, and had a great first half this season, earning his second All-Star nod. However, Rutschman has struggled mightily in the second half of 2024. Similarly to how the Orioles were great because of Rutschman, they are now in danger of missing the postseason, partially due to Rutschman’s struggles.
