Man charged in murder of father
CHESTER — A Chester man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his father. The Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Drew Bernard Meyer, 32, of Chester, charging him with first degree murder in the death of his father, Wayne Michael Meyer, 65, also of Chester. According to police reports, on May 17, deputies were dispatched to Auckland Way in Chester, for a report of a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, deputies found Wayne Meyer deceased under "suspicious circumstances." ...

UPDATED – 07/19/24 – Investigation into Tuesday’s shooting incident at the Parkway Apartments in Easton has led to the arrest of an 18 year old man who was found at a home in Georgetown. Easton Police contacted the residents at the apartment complex who said they were shot at, but no one was found to be injured. Investigation led Detectives to identify 18 year old D’avin Lake as the shooter – an arrest warrant was issued Thursday. US Marshals located Lake in a residence in Georgetown, DE., where he was arrested. Lake was transferred to the custody of Detectives with the Easton Police Department. Lake was served with the arrest warrant related to the shooting. Detectives learned that Lake was wanted on another warrant for burglary and assault.

EASTON, Md. – Police are searching for a subject wanted in connection to an armed robbery in Easton late Wednesday night. According to police, the incident took place at around 11:30 p.m. at the Econo Lodge, located at 8175 Ocean Gateway. The motel clerk told police that a man had pulled out a handgun and demanded money. After obtaining an unknown amount of money, the suspect fled on foot near the back of the motel.
