Tillamook Coast Visitors Association (TCVA) has funded the installation of hearing loops at two locations in Tillamook County: the visitors center desk at the Tillamook Creamery, and the front desk at the Tillamook Air Museum. After what is being reported as an exchange of gunfire, a Damascus man was shot and mildly wounded by law enforcement officers Wednesday, June 26, in Tillamook. Joey De La Rosa Rodriguez, 37, of Damascus received non-life-threatening injuries during the exchange of gunfire. On June 26, 2024, at approximately 6:30pm, a suspect shot multiple times at police during a traffic stop near Fred Meyer on North Main in Tillamook. Tillamook County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Tillamook City Police Officers returned fire before the suspect fled in his vehicle and led Police on a several-miles long pursuit.
