Last week, a 32-year-old was arrested on trafficking charges after allegedly fleeing from a traffic stop and abandoning the vehicle with a child in the passenger seat. The chase resulted in the discovery of 230 grams of methamphetamine, which the suspect allegedly threw out while fleeing on foot. Flaco the owl was one of those stories that captured the heart of New York. In February of 2023, the Eurasian eagle owl escaped from Central Park Zoo. Who shredded open his mesh enclosure is still a mystery. Because it’s particularly hard to capture a winged creature, the zoo and all of New York kept tabs on the freed bird, catching sights of his 6-foot wingspan flying across Central Park and snapping pictures of him perched on AC units. Unfortunately, just a little over a year later, the majestic owl took his last flight and died after striking a building on the Upper West Side. A man was stabbed multiple times after a “catcalling incident gone wrong” near a busy Manhattan bar Saturday afternoon, cops and sources said.

The violence erupted around 12:30 p.m. at 502 West 51st Street in Hell’s Kitchen, when the victim was stabbed in the stomach, shoulder and finger with an “unknown object,” police said.
