    Monticello man's death ruled homicide: What we know

    MONTICELLO - A Monticello man was found dead Saturday in what state police are calling a homicide.

    State police identified the victim as 42-year-old Jose Rodriguez.

    Police said he was found dead at a home on Lakewood Avenue on Saturday.

    State police have not said how he was killed or released any other details about the crime.

    The Village of Monticello Police Department and the Sullivan County District Attorney's office are assisting state police in the investigation.

    Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at their Liberty barracks, 845-292-0280.
