    ‘The Kammander’ wins overall title in kid’s division of USA Mullet Championships

    SWOYERSVILLE — “The Kammander” is the champion.

    Kamden “The Kammander” Cunningham, 6, of Swoyersville, has won the overall kid’s category in the 2024 USA Mullet Championships.

    Killian Depew — “Killi Ray Cyrus” — age 3, of Avoca, finished in third place.

    As champion, Kamden will be awarded a custom championship belt, a GoPro HERO12 Black Action Camera, and a $5,000 cash prize.

    “We all were shocked,” said Kamden’s mother, Kelsey Cunningham. “I screamed at the top of my lungs. We started jumping up and down.”

    Kelsey said when Kamden realized he had won, he said he wanted the family to go to DisneyWorld — a place he has never visited.

    Kamden’s father, Brendan, finished 11th overall in the adult division.

    This was Kamden’s second year in the contest — he finished third in 2023.

    Kamden raised $6,563.68 for wounded veterans — Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors — a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing critically injured U.S. military veterans with injury-specific, accessible and mortgage-free homes..
