Trunk or Treat Tailgate Party planned in Swoyersville

The Swoyersville Kiwanis has teamed up with the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Knights of Columbus and Swoyersville Parks & Recreation to host a Trunk or Treat Tailgate Party on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 on the church grounds of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hughes Street in Swoyersville.

Local businesses, organizations and residents are invited to take part by uniquely decorating their vehicles to tailgate with tricks and treats for kids of all ages. The members from the organizations are working to create an atmosphere that allows children to trick or treat in a safe and friendly environment. Dressing in costume is encouraged for all attending or displaying a vehicle..

All vehicles are eligible to win Best Dressed Trunk prizes which the children attending will vote on. All vehicles must be registered, must fit into a standard parking space and must provide their own candy or prizes for the children. No homemade treats please .All treats must be in original factory packaging. Each child will also receive a chance to guess at our Counting Ghouls Game to win some special prizes.
