Mitchell baseball team preps for first game in new gymnasium

Mitchell High School varsity baseball players took their practice inside the new Mitchell Community Schools Auxiliary Gymnasium last week as they prepared for their first game on March 27.

Mitchell High School Varsity Baseball Coach Jerry Chaney said, "We have a very tough sectional and regional. We've got almost everybody back. This is an experienced team."

Mitchell finished 26-7 last year, losing in the semi state game to Heritage Christian 9-4. The team's first home game will be against Springs Valley on April 6.
