Authorities Identify Inmate Who Collapsed and Died at San Diego Jail Last Week
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has publicly identified an inmate who died last week after suffering a medical emergency at San Diego Central Jail. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report that 42-year-old Richard Woodford had collapsed at the Front Street detention center and found found him unconscious and unresponsive on the floor of a shower room at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
