Bill to Speed up CHIPS Act Investments Passes Congress

The House of Representatives passed the Building Chips in America Act Monday, designed to bring microchip manufacturing back to America.

The bill was led by Rep. Scott Peters (D-San Diego), whose district includes the northeastern region of the county. The legislation — which is now heading to the President’s desk — will speed up microchip projects supported by the CHIPS and Science Act.

“I look forward to celebrating when the President signs this historic bipartisan legislation to supercharge domestic chip manufacturing,” said Peters.
