    Legacy High School holds ribbon-cutting ceremony for official grand opening

    Students, faculty, family and friends lined the front foyer for the royal blue and gold as Wichita Falls ISD held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Legacy High School.

    Legacy High School is home to the Leopards and located at 3003 Henry S Grace Freeway, also known as the "Hilltop."

    The ceremony began with a performance from the band while the cheerleaders and drill team cheered on from the ground floor.

    WFISD Superintendent Dr. Donny Lee welcomed all in attendance before introducing several guest speakers, such as WFISD board members, lead architects and builders, a student and parent.

    Although the 2024 school year started Aug. 15, the celebration took place on Thursday.

    Gold Coat ambassadors, WFISD board members and a few others stood alongside Lee as he ceremoniously cut the ribbon to symbolize the official grand opening of Legacy High School.
