An off-duty Texas Department of Public Safety trooper stationed in Wichita Falls was seriously injured in a three-vehicle accident on Tuesday.

The DPS reports Sgt. Patrick Wayne Timms was involved in the wreck about 5:20 p.m. on State Highway 79 in Archer County.

The DPS said a northbound pickup driven by Brayden John Little of Wichita Falls stopped to turn into a driveway and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Ethan Pendleton Scaling of Wichita Falls.

The collision forced Little's pickup into Timms’ car, which was southbound on the highway.

Timms was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment of incapacitating injuries, according to the DPS.

Little, an off-duty investigator for the Wichita County District Attorney's Office, and three children in his vehicle escaped injury as did Scaling and one child in his vehicle, according to the DPS.

The family's GFM asked for $5,000 and it's a blessing to see that they have reached over $28,000 so far! Prayers for complete healing and prayers for Braden Little and his family.

Prayers going up for Officer Timm's that he receives the best care his doctors and specialists can provide. I pray he heals well and is soon back on the road to recovery. Many prayers of comfort to his family as well as they deal with this horrible accident and its aftermath. As for the person who initially caused the accident. Please pay attention to your surroundings and the road. Especially when traveling with the precious cargo of a child/children.
