Wichita Falls Police have identified human skeletal remains found in a vacant house this past summer.

Officers were called to a house at 1905 Seventh Street on July 11. They had been summoned by a person who entered the boarded up structure to get out of the weather.

Police found remains and a debit card at the scene with the name of a person who had been reported as missing.

The remains were sent for an autopsy and were identified Wednesday by police as Darryl Wayne Lesperance, 60, of Wichita Falls.

Police said Lesperance's death appeared to be from natural causes, and there were no signs of foul play.

NamUs, the a federal register of missing persons, listed Lesperance as last seen on June 15, 2021.
