Meteorite Making Its Return To Johnstown
A hundred years ago, a famous meteorite landed near Johnstown Cemetery. Now, it’s making its return. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports The Johnstown Historical Society is hosting the “I Landed In Johnstown” Centennial Celebration on Saturday and will welcome back a near 12-pound meteorite from the 1924 celestial event. Events will occur throughout the day at both the cemetery and Roosevelt High School.The festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. with a dedication of a historical marker and permanent memorial space at the landing site in the cemetery, followed by vendors getting a chance to sell rocks, gems, fossils, meteorites, jewelry and other geology products to visitors.
Man Charged In Vehicle Rollover Crash In Greeley
A man police allege was driving drunk in north Greeley is facing a number of charges following a crash that left two women injured. According to the Greeley Tribune, 28-year-old Misael Gomez-Monson was cuffed on suspicion of felony vehicular assault, misdemeanor assault, driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving without insurance, according to an affidavit for his arrest, following a two vehicle crash and rollover at US 85 and C Street late on the night of June 16th. Police say Gomez-Monson ran a red light, causing the wreck.

Three moose make their way to Northern Colorado plains
Three moose have wandered away from the foothills along the Front Range and are now navigating their way through the plains of Northern Colorado. Two cows and one bull moose have been spotted recently making their way through the small town of Nunn, east of I-25.
