Md. State Fair is hiring

Interested in being a part of putting on the Maryland State Fair for three big weekends this summer?

Attend the Maryland State Fair Job Fair, on Tuesday, July 30 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall, to explore a variety of job opportunities during the Thursday, Aug. 22- Sunday, Aug. 25, Thursday, Aug. 29-Monday, Sept. 2, and Thursday, Sept. 5-Sunday, Sept. 8 run of the Maryland State Fair.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and bring a passport or valid photo ID (example: driver’s license) and a social security card. State fair organizers have determined all applicants applying for security jobs must also have a security guard certification card issued by the Maryland State Police.

Potential job opportunities include: admission ticket booth sales, food service, parking, security, and souvenir sales.

State Fair to run between Aug. 22 and Sept. 8

The Maryland State Fair will soon be returning to Baltimore County.

The event will run in three segments: Thursday, Aug. 22 to Sunday, Aug. 25; Thursday, Aug. 29 to Monday, Sept. 2; and Thursday, Sept. 5 to Sunday, Sept. 8. It will be held at its usual location on 2200 York Road in Timonium.

Now in its 143rd year, the Maryland State Fair is expected to be a fun and educational destination that will captivate visitors of all ages. Activities and features included in the fair will include daily home arts, farm and garden, livestock and horse competitions and exhibits, rides, games, live concerts and entertainment, live thoroughbred horse racing, fair treats and farm fresh foods, U-Learn Agriculture Education Zone, The Birthing Center, a museum and more.
