New Sewer Installation Causes Street Closures

Street closures at Weir Street will begin on Monday, July 29 through Aug. 16, the City of Olympia announced on Monday.

The closures are slated to last from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Weir Street at Pacific Ave and head north to Royal Streets, city officials say.

These upcoming closures are happening to accommodate the extension and installation of a new gravity sewer main that's been needed for some time, city officials say further.

Commuters are encouarged to plan on using alternate routes once the work gets underway, the City of Olympia added in its Monday release to the public.
