    Help Mobilized for Big Horn Fire in Klickitat County

    Help is on the way for firefighters working to contain the Big Horn Fire located in Klickitat County, the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office reports.

    The Big Horn Fire began on July 22 at around 1:07 p.m. near the town of Bickleton, according to the state Fire Marshal. The fire has swelled to 1,200 acres and Level 3 evacuations have been issued, the Fire Marshal reports further.

    Washington State Patrol Chief John Batiste approved the mobilization of state firefighting resources on July 22, at 5:00 p.m. at the request of Fire Chief John Jensen, Klickitat County Fire District 2, the Fire Marshall's office reports.

    The State Emergency Operations Center at Camp Murray will help coordinate state assistance for the Big Horn Fire, the Fire Marshall's Office reports further.

    The cause of the Big Horn Fire remains under investigation, according to the state Fire Marshal's Office.
