Traffic Signal Reinstallation at State & Central: Lane Closures Ahead

City crews will be reinstalling the traffic signal at the intersection of State Avenue and Central Street at the tail end of the month, City of Olympia officials report.

The work is slated for Wednesday, July 31, according to a city press release, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

As a result, State Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Lybarger and Henry Streets, City officials report. Additionally, both lanes of State Avenue will closed for just 15 minutes, they say further.

Central Street will be closed in both directions between Olympic Drive and State Avenue, according to City officials.

The northbound lane of Central Street between 4th and State Avenues will also be closed, the City announced.
