The City of Olympia announced on Tuesday that planned utility work will close the left lane on 4th Ave E between Chestnut Street SE and Plum Street SE this month.

Starting today, Olympia Drinking Water crews will be working on the aforementioned streets, the City reports.

According to the City, work is planned for Tuesday, Aug. 13. More work will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well as Thursday, Aug 15, at 6 a.m.

The construction area is highlighted in red on the map shown above provided by the City of Olympia.

Commuters are encouraged to drive cautiously through the work area, the City reports further.
