Help Name 3 Park Facilities: Engage Olympia and Suggest Your Ideas!

Olympians are needed to help name three local park properties, City of Olympia officials announced on Wednesday.

The three properties are "The Olympia Armory," "Yelm Highway Community Park," and "Kaiser Woods Park," according to the city.

To suggest an official name, Olympians can visit the project page on Engage Olympia at engage.olympiawa.gov/project-naming; review the information in the "Selection criteria" tab, and submit your idea for one or more of these future amenities by Sep. 27.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) will host a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Oct. 17 to review and gather public comment on suggested names, city officials report further.

The PRAC will then make recommendations for the Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation Department to present to the City Council, who will make the final selections, according to city officials.
