Cushing St Closure: Water Main Break Affects Traffic

A 40-foot section of Cushing Street near Harrison Avenue will be closed idefinitely, the City of Olympia reports.

The closure follows a water main break from Saturday, Sep. 14, according to city officials. City crews intend to pave and reopen this area the week of Sep. 23, the city reports further.

Entrances and parking lots to the businesses in this area will not be impacted, according to the city. However, motorists will not be allowed to turn south on Cushing Street from Harrison Avenue.

Meanwhile, sidewalks and crosswalks are open to pedestrians, city officials say. Commuters are encouraged to use caution in the area, according to the city.
