The Creole Tomato Festival was first established in 1986. The festival is free to the public and is held in the heart of the New Orleans in the French Quarter and recognizes the beginning of Creole tomato season. A creole tomato is a ripe red tomato that is grown only in Louisiana, most often in parishes that border along the Mississippi River.

Come out to enjoy some Creole inspired dishes at French Market District eateries and food and drink booths from Cafe Dauphine, A and A Catering, Carmo, Little Cajun Kitchen, Numada, Bootleg Betty, Southern's Foods and more. Just some of the dishes that will be available are fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade, seafood stuffed bell peppers, Creole jambalaya, Southern's Creole tomato chick sandwich, seafood gazpacho, Cajun seafood eggrolls and much more.
