Jefferson Parish's Uncle Sam Jam lineup announced

Jefferson Parish officials have announced the lineup for their annual Uncle Sam Jam this July 3rd at Lafreniere Park in Metairie. Headliners include Bret Michaels, the lead singer from the hair-metal band Poison, rock and roll band Starship and Orleans. Local favorites The Top Cats, The Mixed Nuts and Amanda Shaw are also scheduled to perform. The Uncle Sam Jam will begin on Monday, July 3rd at 2 pm and will also feature a fireworks display over the park after dark.

"Start your Independence Day weekend at beautiful Lafreniere Park. Each year, festival goers look forward to live music, delicious food and great company. Uncle Sam Jam is a free festival featuring top local and national acts and a fireworks show to close out the night. No outside food or drinks are allowed." according to Uncle Sam Jam's website.

There will be food and beverages for purchase by vendors that include Cayenne Seafood Specialties, Frytastic, Rosas Cocina, Kona Ice, Nola Boils and Catering and more.

• Collapsible Soft Chairs and Blankets
• Cameras
• Baby Blankets and Strollers
• Umbrellas
• Tents (only in designated areas)

Items that are prohibited:

• NO Outside Food & Beverage
• NO Pets Allowed at the Concert Meadows during Festival/Concert Hours,
  EXCEPT SERVICE ANIMALS with Credentials
• NO Ice Chests/Coolers
• NO CamelBak Backpacks/Hydration Packs
• NO Skateboards/Hoverboards/Roller Skates/Bicycles
• NO Glass or Metal Containers
• NO Video and Audio Recording Equipment
• NO Unauthorized Vending or Solicitation
• NO Fireworks or Explosives
• NO Kites or Sky Lanterns
• NO Drones or Remote-Controlled Flying Devices
• NO Weapons, Illicit Drugs and Other Contraband

Admission into the Concert Meadow is free and there are general parking passes are available for $10.00 per car.
