August is New Orleans Museum Month

August is here and that means New Orleans Museum month is back! New Orleans Museum month is a collaboration between numerous local area museums of all sizes throughout the greater New Orleans area. All through the month of August, if you purchase a membership to one of the participating museums, you will get the opportunity to also visit all of the other participating museums free of charge.

This year, there are 21 museums that are participating in New Orleans Museum month. They are located throughout the French Quarter, Arts/Warehouse District, CBD, Uptown, and Mid City. Participating museums include the Louisiana Children's Museum, New Orleans Jazz Museum, JAMNOLA, Longue Vue House and Gardens, New Orleans Museum of Art, Ashe Cultural Arts Center, Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, Hermann-Grima House, Louisiana State Museum, Friends of the Cabildo, The Historic New Orleans Collection, BK Historic House and Garden, Southern Food and Beverage Museum, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Sazerac House, Pitot House, TEP Center, Newcomb Art Museum, Vue New Orleans, New Orleans Pharmacy Museum as well as the National WWII Museum, which has been repeatedly ranked as the #1 attraction in New Orleans and the 3rd best museum in the country by Trip Advisor.
