    The Queen, Baton Rouge's newest casino set to open on Thursday, August 24th

    Get ready Baton Rouge, The Queen is scheduled to open to the public on Thursday, August 24th. The Queen, which was formerly the Hollywood Casino, underwent a $85 million total renovation that moved from the Mississippi River to land, with a new casino, dining and entertainment destination that expanded from 62,000 square feet to over 100,000 square feet.

    The Queen is the newest addition to the Baton Rouge gaming scene and is designed to allow visitors to enjoy more than 750 ways to play, several delicious dining options and an incredible entertainment venue, bar and restaurant to take in all the action.

    Highlights include:

    • Over 100,000 square feet featuring the best in gaming, dining and entertainment.
    • Over 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space that includes 3 multi-purpose rooms.
    • More than 700 gaming machines
    • 18 gaming tables
    • Dedicated smoking patio, Lit Casino & Bar, with over 100 slot machines, 6 table games, and a full-service bar
    • Full-service original dining and entertainment concept 1717, specializing in rustic American cuisine with a twist featuring nearly 40 TVs to watch the latest sporting events.
    • Three quick-service restaurants include Big Chicken, 3 Woks Noodle Bar, and Capitol Coffee Baton Rouge.
    • A state-of-the-art DraftKings Sportsbook featuring lounge-style seating, a 28-foot video wall and oversized high-definition TVs
    • New parking lot featuring wider parking spaces, additional lighting, and a main entrance just steps from the gaming action.

    The Queen is scheduled to be unveiled to the public on Thursday, August 24th at 9 pm.
