    Frozen S'mores: Decadent Desserts

    Who doesn't love S'mores? But who wants to wait until winter for them? With this simple recipe for frozen s'mores, you can have a refreshing version of this dessert, anytime you want. Plus, there is nothing better than a delicious cold treat on a hot summer day especially here in Louisiana. The best part is these frozen treats are so easy to make and hello... chocolate! Do I need to say more??

    INGREDIENTS:

    • 1 box of instant chocolate pudding mix
    • 2 ½ cups of milk
    • 12 graham crackers, broken in half and divided
    • 6 ounces of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
    • 6 ounces of marshmallow creme
    • 2 ½ cups of whipped topping, defrosted and divided

    DIRECTIONS:

    • Line a 9" × 13" baking dish with some parchment paper, leaving the edges slightly over the pan.
    • In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the pudding mix, milk and a 1/2 cup of whipped topping and whisk until smooth.
    • Lay half of the graham crackers on the bottom of the baking dish evenly. Then spread pudding mix into an even layer over the top and chill.
    • In another medium sized mixing bowl, add the cream cheese and marshmallow creme and beat together until smooth. The fold in remaining 2 cups of whipped topping.
    • Spread cream cheese mix over the chocolate pudding layer evenly then place the rest of the graham crackers over the top.
    • Cover the s;mores with aluminum foil and freeze for 4 to 6 hours, until they are firm enough to cut through.
    • Pick up the parchment paper to remove the s'mores out of the pan and place on a cutting board cut off any excess filling and slice the smores into squares for serving.
    • Serve the s'mores when slightly softened and enjoy!

    NOTE: You can also freeze the s'mores in a freezer bag or bowl, just allow them to defrost at room temperature about 15 minutes before serving.
