Lights, Camera, Action at the 34th annual New Orleans Film Festival

    2023-10-30

New Orleans will shine brighter than ever with culture and creativity during the 34th annual New Orleans Film Festival which features over 500 filmmakers from every corner of the world in attendance at over 220 films. Thousands of people gather over the course of 8 days to champion film in New Orleans and engage with visionary films, directors, and other film lovers. NOFF is one of the few film festivals that is Oscar qualifying in all three Academy-accredited categories.

Audiences will get a chance to meet filmmakers in person at talkback sessions after film screenings while filmmakers get to network with each other and industry professionals flying in from both coasts to discover emerging talent at our Filmmakers Conference and South Pitch Programs, both of which are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. It’s the best time of the year for film lovers who like to discover the works of storytellers first hand, and meet and talk with fellow film buffs mingling at festival venues and parties all festival long.

The 34th annual New Orleans Film Festival will take place in person on November 2nd-7th and virtually on November 2nd-12th at The Broad Theater, Contemporary Arts Center and The Prytania Theatre.

From the Second Line parade following the opening night film to late-night cocktails, live music in historic mansions, and cinematic Mississippi River views, their hope is that everyone leaves inspired, with an enduring story to tell and deeper connections to each other and to the art of film.
