Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival celebrates 52 years of fun

Back for its 52nd year, the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival will be held on Friday, April 12th - Sunday, April 14th, 2024 at Ponchatoula Memorial Park.

The Strawberry Festival is a 3-day festival that is held annually in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, the Strawberry Capital of the World. According to the festival's website, "Each year, around 300,000 visitors attend to enjoy the rides, free live music, and food and drinks from our local non-profit vendors."

Established in 1972, the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival has attracted visitors from all over the country to celebrate local strawberry farmers, non-profits, and their special community. The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival has flourished into the largest free harvest festival in the state of Louisiana. It is three days filled with time-honored traditions, amazing food and drinks, live music, rides and a parade for tons of family, friendly fun.

The year's Strawberry Festival Parade will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 9:30 am starting at the Ponchatoula Lions club. The parade has been an integral part of festival weekend since the very beginning.
