Thibodaux Regional Cancer Institute presents their 2nd annual Festival of Hope

    2024-04-03

Thibodaux Regional Cancer Institute presents their 2nd annual Festival of Hope on April 22nd and April 27th, which will include a golf tournament, 1 mile and 5K run/walk, and a musical concert. Proceeds from the two-day event will benefit cancer education, screenings, and support services for cancer patients.

Festival of Hope's Golf for the Cure Golf Tournment will be held on Monday, April 22nd, at Ellendale Country Club in Houma with special guest host WWL Radio sports analyst Mike Detillier. Detillier said of the event, "Last year, we had dozens of teams participate in the tournament locally and across the region. Our CEO, Greg Stock, and the board of directors at Thibodaux Regional Health Systems have always placed a great emphasis on quality care and dealing with the physical part of cancer care, the compassionate side of dealing with this dreaded disease and also the emotional and spiritual part also. Cancer has impacted all of our lives. We all have had family, friends, and working colleagues deal with cancer. The Golf Tournament is to help raise money for education on early detection, screening, and helping families financially with the fight against cancer."
