Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler: Southern Decadence

    2024-07-18

Cobblers are one of the most famous desserts made in the South. Made with a variety of fruit like peach or apple and baked to a golden brown crust, cobblers are a family favorite for anytime of the year.

Krispy Kreme Donuts are one of the biggest and most popular donut franchises in the country, but what some people don't know is that they also have Southern origins. Krispy Kreme was founded by Vernon Rudolph, who bought the secret yeast-raised recipe from Joe LeBeau, a New Orleans chef. In 1937, he rented a building in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and started making the sweet treats, selling them to local grocery and convenience stores.

At some point, people started combining these light and fluffy donuts with other recipes leading to the most decadent desserts, like this incredible recipe for Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler.
